ESTATE PLANNING
Every person should plan for the future. Mr. McDuffy has spent years counseling individuals on estate matters and is available to prepare Wills, Powers of Attorney, Health Care Powers of Attorney, and Living Wills.
The Estate Planning Process
Estate planning is about protecting your family, your assets, and your wishes—both during your lifetime and after.
Our firm guides you through a thoughtful, personalized process designed to give you clarity and peace of mind.

Step 1
Initial Consultation
We begin with a one-hour comprehensive consultation to understand your family situation, assets, goals, and concerns.

Step 2
Plan Design & Recommendations
Based on your goals, we recommend an estate plan tailored to your needs. We explain your options in plain language so you can make informed decisions about how your assets will be managed and distributed.

Step 3
Drafting Legal Documents
Once your plan is finalized, we prepare all necessary legal documents with precision and care. Each document is customized to reflect your wishes and protect your interests.

Step 4
Review & Execution
We will have a second appointment so that we may review each document with you in detail, answer your questions, and ensure you fully understand your plan. Documents are then properly signed, witnessed, and notarized in accordance with North Carolina law.

Step 5
Ongoing Review & Updates
Life changes—such as marriage, children, divorce, new assets, or changes in the law—can affect your estate plan. We encourage periodic reviews and are always available to update your documents as needed.
